Benefits of the Trimester System
The trimester system is a flexible approach to high school learning that divides the school year into three terms. Students typically take 4 courses per term, which reduces their course load and allows them to focus more deeply on each subject. This often leads to higher engagement and better understanding of course material.
By completing about 12 courses per year, students can progress through their graduation requirements more quickly and stay on track to finish their program efficiently.
The system also offers three intakes per year, in September, January, and May—giving students more opportunities to start or adjust their studies.
Overall, the trimester system promotes focus, engagement, and flexibility in a structured academic setting.
